MarketSource Partners Within Community for ‘Summer of Service’

by Jennifer Morrell

MarketSource Inc., the proven alternative to outsourcing sales, joined forces with several community organizations and created a giveback-initiative dubbed the “Summer of Service,” whereby team members volunteered their time with and donated to several local organizations. MarketSource is committed to partnering with North Fulton County non-profits whose missions align with a few key areas of its business: education, strengthening the workforce, and employee engagement.

“Serving others is a cornerstone of our culture at MarketSource,” says company president, Rick Haviland. “For many years, we have enjoyed being part of the North Fulton County community and proud to give back to these exceptional organizations.”

More than 115 MarketSource team members have donated over 220 hours of time to support volunteer efforts for multiple local organizations. Through Summer of Service, volunteers helped Holcomb Bridge Middle School, Homestretch and YMCA. The company has a corporate partnership with Habitat for Humanity – North Central Georgia, H.O.P.E. Inc., and Junior Achievement. MarketSource also works with LifeSouth, Lost-N-Found Youth, Year Up Atlanta, and American Red Cross.

On Aug. 18, MarketSource hosted a luncheon for its community partners. Liz Novak, vice president of human resources for MarketSource, discussed why the company invests the time and resources to serve others, expressing excitement about a new community strategy that will positively impact areas of need across north Fulton County, Ga.

MarketSource welcomed Community Partners for a presentation and luncheon on Aug. 18.

“I am so proud of the team and their efforts to embrace these opportunities to give back to their community,” Novak says. “They take a ‘whatever, wherever and whenever’ mentality, and there is never a hesitation to jump in and help.”

MarketSource has a long-standing tradition of serving the communities where team members across the country live and work. The commitment to serving others is reinforced when team members give back in their local communities, donate to worthy causes, and gather as leaders to lend a hand and serve those in need.

MarketSource’s community strategy aligns with its business objectives of putting people to work and driving an engaged workforce. As a service-minded company, #MarketSourceGivesBack isn’t just a hashtag, it’s something the company and its team members live every day.
