Jaime Gonzalez has dedicated 21 years to customers, clients, and colleagues in a career that has evolved with advances in the wireless industry.
Jaime started out when the world was still using pagers and landlines. “The concept of a cell phone was not in people’s minds,” he recalls. “However, I loved working with customers, and being a part of a communications revolution was an incredible experience.” But Jaime wanted more. Because he excelled in sales, he was confident he could teach others to become great at their craft, too, which led him into a leadership role. After working for each of the “big four” wireless brands at different points in his career and holding positions from district manager to director of sales, Jaime took a job at MarketSource as a regional sales manager in Phoenix.

Today, Jaime serves as field operations manager and oversees the West region for his program, which spans 18 markets from west of the Mississippi River to the Pacific coast. “We have assembled a best-in-class team that drives sales, is passionate about what they do, and believes in the product,” he explains. “My job is to make sure they’re equipped with the necessary tools, training, resources, and support to sustain these results each month.”
Jaime’s strong work ethic and desire to serve others have led to opportunities outside of his day-to-day job. For example, he was tapped to lead a team for his client during the 2023 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. The team was responsible for ensuring all local store displays were “executive ready,” since the client’s executive leaders planned to visit local retail customers during the show to monitor brand recognition.
Jaime says his mentors have taught him to act with urgency, drive engagement, take initiative, and be innovative, and he is enacting these lessons in real-time. For instance, he volunteered to be a mentor for MarketSource’s 2023 Aspire program, an immersive learning experience for select high-performing, full-time reps. “To me, being a mentor for the Aspire program is all about serving others,” he says. “There’s so much I’ve learned from being a leader. It’s an honor to be able to share my experiences as others embark on their own journey.”
Jaime’s favorite advice, “be the best version of yourself every day,” is how he lives and works, and he’s committed to helping others do it, too.
