MarketSource Named One of Atlanta’s Top 25 Large Workplaces

“I love my job.”

Do you hear people say that often? If you work at MarketSource, you just might.

We are excited to share that The Atlanta Journal Constitution has once again named MarketSource a Top Workplace!

AJC awards MarketSource

MarketSource earned a position in the “Top 25 Large Workplaces” for two consecutive years as a result of our focus on company values and culture that support employees in their path to personal and professional success.

“MarketSource is a collection of talented and driven team members that are empowered to explore how they can make a difference in our company and our community,” said MarketSource President, Rick Haviland. “As an organization, we strive to foster their competitive spirit and make sure they have the tools and training to succeed.”

What is a successful workplace?

“The Top Workplaces award is not a popularity contest. And oftentimes, people assume it’s all about fancy perks and benefits.” says Doug Claffey, CEO of WorkplaceDynamics. “But to be a Top Workplace, organizations must meet our strict standards for organizational health. And who better to ask about work life than the people who live the culture every day—the employees. Time and time again, our research has proven that what’s most important to them is a strong belief in where the organization is headed, how it’s going to get there, and the feeling that everyone is in it together. Claffey adds, “Without this sense of connection, an organization doesn’t have a shot at being named a Top Workplace.”

This means an organization that:

  • Sets a clear direction for its future and how it conducts itself
  • Executes well and has a culture of high performance
  • Creates a strong connection between employees and the company by showing appreciation and by bringing meaning to work

Statistically this provides the strongest correlation with positive employees. It also underpins the long-term performance of the company – we have found that healthy companies tend to outperform.

How was MarketSource chosen?

The evaluation for this award is based solely on the results of an employee feedback survey administered by WorkplaceDynamics, LLC, a leading research firm that specializes in organizational health and workplace improvement. Several aspects of workplace culture were measured, including Alignment, Execution, and Connection, just to name a few.

Selection as a great place to work is based on employee feedback to a third party survey. The Top Workplace survey is conducted by WorkplaceDynamics, LLP, a leading research firm on organizational health and employee engagement which conducts Top Workplaces programs with 40 major publishing partners across the United States.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution publishes the Top Workplaces list annually at www.ajc.com.
