In just one-and-a-half years at MarketSource, Chris Zarur has made quite an impact. His work ethic and drive for growth have led him on a path to great success within the company in a short amount of time.
Chris oversees the southwest territory for a home appliance brand, which handles data capturing and product training for the client; and is responsible for maintaining relationships with retailers that sell its home appliances.
In his previous role as area sales manager, Chris was ranked in the top five of the program’s overall sales, sales growth, and percentage of tasks completed. He credits this accomplishment in large part to the strong relationships he has built with national accounts. “Because of these relationships, I was provided the opportunity to host trainings and get new, highly anticipated products displayed early through building rapport, offering my assistance wherever possible, and genuinely getting to know store management and associates.”
His work ethic—which is centered around responsibility, accountability, and dedication to the job—has also led to some exciting opportunities with the client, such as traveling to other markets for quality assurance with the latest displays; and ensuring retailers and associates are ready for high-profile executive visits.

In addition to his individual contributions, Chris boasts impressive leadership skills. “I consider myself to be a situational leader,” he explains. “I think of myself as someone who is collaborative and motivates my team to achieve their full potential. I strive to prioritize the needs and wellbeing of others by offering support and collaborating effectively, using a selfless approach.”
It should come as no surprise that Chris’ favorite part of the job is the satisfaction of seeing a project through from start to finish—collaborating with a team to hit deadlines and delivering high-quality results. And that, he has undoubtedly accomplished.

When asked for some general lessons Chris has learned that he would like to share with others, he says: “Risk-taking is so important. Without taking risks and making mistakes, you’ll grow stagnant. Mistakes should be used as a learning experience to help you grow and better yourself.”
