Denice Leads a Team that Feels Like Family

When a strong business analyst was needed to help with our growing automotive recall business, 16-year MarketSource veteran Denice Blatter instantly came to mind. Her admirable work ethic and natural skill for building relationships were critical for this challenging role.

Although she was cautioned about the steep learning curve that came with working on multiple programs in a completely new industry, Denice jumped in with both feet. Within a week, compliments poured in regarding her communication and commitment.

A year later, Denice continues to overperform, despite the drastic expansion of two of her three programs (one has even tripled in size)! Fortunately for MarketSource and our clients, she’s accustomed to going with the flow, a skill she honed from an early age. “My parents owned their own business, and I worked for them growing up,” she says. “We would put in as many hours as it took to get the job done—and not just at work. I would help at home by taking care of my younger siblings, cooking meals, and doing anything else that was asked of me. Through that experience, it became second nature to jump in and help wherever needed—there’s always something to get done!”

I would help at home by taking care of my younger siblings, cooking meals, and doing anything else that was asked of me. Through that experience, it became second nature to jump in and help wherever needed—there’s always something to get done!”

“I think work ethic goes deeper than the willingness to jump in and help, though. I believe it’s the outward action of being honest, truthful, and fair. I want to be the person others can rely on.”

Denice clearly is that person, and she excels at handling three expanding programs. How does she do it? Denice says it’s a combination of passion for her job, of practicing continuous improvement, and of…lists!

“I make lists for almost everything I do,” she explains. “They help me track my priorities and ensure I meet deadlines. I also love the sense of accomplishment I get when I’m able to check things off my list. It’s very gratifying.”

However, the glue that holds everything together for Denice is the people. The relationships she has developed at MarketSource are priceless. “I have worked on a few different teams in my 16 years here,” she explains. “On each of those teams, I have built relationships that are more like a family than simply friends or coworkers. I couldn’t have been this successful without their support and patience, particularly as I learned about new programs and their different processes…so I’m committed to helping others here grow and succeed, too.”

For those individuals, she shares the following advice: “I learned from an early age that hard work will allow you to tackle any challenge that comes your way…in all aspects of life. If you want to try something new, you can’t just sit around and wait for it to happen. And even in those times I don’t succeed, I learn from everything I do. Never give up.”
