Luis Andino embodies all of MarketSource’s core values. He has mastered the art of building relationships, consistently practices open communication, demonstrates an impeccable work ethic, and has dedicated his adult life to serving others.
That’s why it comes as no surprise that one of his long-term goals is to start a non-profit that provides support and guidance to people who want to take their careers to the next level. In the meantime, his colleagues at MarketSource have benefited from his passion for over a decade.
“Guiding and supporting the next wave of leaders is incredibly fulfilling.”
“Guiding and supporting the next wave of leaders is incredibly fulfilling,” says Luis. “I take pride in sharing my knowledge and experiences, helping them navigate their career paths, and watching them grow into confident and capable professionals. My hope is that I’m helping to enrich their lives, and at the same time, ensure a strong and vibrant future for our organization.”
Luis serves as training manager for one of our longest tenured retail clients, where he oversees the development and implementation of training programs that enhance the program’s team members’ skills and knowledge. In addition, he recently stepped in as regional manager, supporting nine districts in eight states with nearly 300 sales reps. “I love the one-on-one interaction that role provides,” he says. “My favorite part of the job is participating in our monthly celebration calls to showcase the results of hard work from hundreds of people across the country.”
The hard work and commitment he regularly pours into our team members has not gone unrecognized. In fact, Luis has received the retail business unit’s esteemed Blue Jacket Award, acknowledging his exceptional performance and significant contributions to the organization. “I genuinely care about the growth and success of those I work with,” says Luis. “I strive to create an environment where everyone feels valued and empowered, and I do this by demonstrating empathy and understanding. I believe that when people feel supported and encouraged, they are more likely to take risks, innovate, and excel.”
The best advice Luis has received? “Choose a workplace that brings you joy and fulfillment first. It’s important to work in a place that keeps you smiling and satisfied.”
We’re glad MarketSource is that place for him.
Luis’ interest in helping others excel extends beyond his career. Over the past 25 years, he has mentored young people in various capacities, including in sports, counseling, and Bible instruction. He leans on his own experience in youth, moving from Puerto Rico as a teenager after a traumatic event and overcoming the obstacles associated with such a life change to find success. He even wrote a book about it called Persistent: How to Find Success After a Tragic Event in Your Life and plans to write a second one about his professional experiences. “I like to teach others that it’s important to be adaptable and open to change,” he explains. “Plans may shift, but having a clear vision helps you navigate uncertainties.”
When asked for the best advice Luis has received, he emphasizes the importance of happiness. “Choose a workplace that brings you joy and fulfillment first. It’s important to work in a place that keeps you smiling and satisfied.”
